World’s First Camera That Captures 3D Photos And Video Revealed

The Fujifilm Real 3D W3 claims to shoot Real 3D video in High Definition complete with playback via direct connection to most 3D TVs using an HDMI mini-cable. It comes with two Fujinon 3x optical zoom lenses (35-105mm equivalent) and twin 10 megapixel CCD sensors which provides the option of viewing 3D images on the large LCD screen without special glasses or on 3D HD TV systems using the 3D glasses that come with the television.

Loreo 3D Lens in a Cap 9005 for Taking 3D Photos with DSLR Cameras

Loreo is an Asian company that has been on the market for quite some time, offering 3D lens in a cap type of adapters that allow you to take stereo 3D photos with a single camera. What these adapters do is to get the views for the left and right eye in a single frame which lets say better than average quality (depending also on the camera and the settings being used), but with a more affordable price and easier to use than actually buying a second camera and having to synchronize the picture taking etc.

Of course the photo you’ll get with these adapters will be with half the horizontal resolution for the left and half for the right image (but not squashed!), thus getting much higher height of the 3D image then width and without cropping the image you will have huge black bars on the sides when viewing on a 16:10 or 16:9 aspect 3D monitor…
